Welcome to Akhyar Foundation Limited (“we,” “our,” “us”). By using our website to make a donation, purchase a subscription, or engage with our services, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

Eligibility and Account Creation

• When you donate or sign up, we automatically create an account for you, which is verified through an OTP sent to your email address for additional security.
• For future donations, you may log in via OTP verification. If you wish to update personal information, you can do so via your donor dashboard.

Donations

• Donations can be made as one-time payments or recurring subscriptions. 

• The user currency will be selected manually during the checkout process. 
• All donations are processed via Stripe — a secure and PCI-compliant payment gateway. We may add additional payment options in the future, including Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, etc. 
• Refunds: Donations are non-refundable, except in cases where the transaction was processed in error. Refunds will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and we reserve the right to make exceptions under certain circumstances.

   

Subscription and Orphan Sponsorship Program

• If you choose to sponsor an orphan through monthly or annual donations, you agree to maintain an active subscription. You can cancel the subscription by reaching out to us at [email protected].
• Card information will be stored securely by Stripe to facilitate future recurring donations.

Tax Receipts

• Donation receipts will be issued based on the legal framework of the country of the donor (e.g., Australia Gift Aid or U.S. 501(c)(3)). 
• A receipt will be emailed to you after every donation. If you require a PDF version of your tax receipt, please contact us at [email protected].
• A summary of donations can be accessed on your donor dashboard at any time.

User Data and Privacy

• We respect your privacy and handle your data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Australia Privacy Principles, and applicable data protection laws in the regions where we operate. 
• We may share your information with trusted third parties, such as email marketing providers, data analytics services, and payment processors (e.g., Stripe) to facilitate transactions or enhance our services.

   

Security

• We take security seriously and use SSL/HTTPS encryption across our website to protect your personal and payment data. 
• We do not store sensitive card information on our servers. All payments are securely processed through Stripe.

   

Marketing Communications

• By default, we will send you transactional emails (e.g., donation receipts, subscription updates).
• You can opt-in to receive marketing emails such as newsletters, campaign updates, and promotional content. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us.

Changes to Terms

• Akhyar Foundation reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be reflected on this page, and you will be notified where applicable.
