Orphan Sponsorship

Losing a parent changes everything for a child. Without steady support, even the simplest needs become difficult to meet. Through orphan sponsorship, you can quietly step in to help provide their basic necessities, bringing some consistency to a life that needs it most.

What Is Orphan Sponsorship?

Through Akhyar’s Orphan Sponsorship program, you can support a child who has lost their father. Your contribution goes directly to the widow caring for the child and helps cover whatever the child needs most, whether it is food, school expenses, medicine, or clothing.

While it cannot take away every hardship, this support brings a sense of relief to a home carrying more than it should. It is a simple act of care that helps a mother provide for her child and reminds them that they are not alone.

 A Mercy That Multiplies

“If anyone from you becomes the guardian of an orphan and deals kindly with them, and he fulfills these actions satisfactorily, and he strokes the head of the orphan with sympathy, then Allah necessarily writes good deeds equivalent to the hair of the orphan's head and forgives sins equal to the hair of the orphan's head and raises his position equal to the hair of the orphan’s head!”
Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
Sayyid Mohsen Al-Amin Gild:1, pg549

Where Your Support Goes

Each month, the amount you donate is given to the widow caring for the orphan to help with their most basic needs. Depending on the child’s situation, she may use it for:

  • Food

Daily meals, home groceries, or small treats that bring comfort to a child who’s been through too much.

  • Education

School fees, uniforms, books, or supplies that help them stay on track and feel included.

  • Healthcare

Doctor visits, medicine, or check-ups that are often put off due to financial strain.

  • Clothing

Season-appropriate clothes, shoes, or hygiene items that restore both warmth and dignity.

This Is What Support Looks Like

Because of your giving, children who were left behind are receiving consistent care.

What does my monthly donation support?

Your donation goes straight to the widow caring for the child. She uses it to cover the most urgent needs, whether food, school expenses, clothing, or healthcare.

When selecting a sponsorship plan, donors can view profiles and pictures of children in need. They can choose which orphan to sponsor based on the information provided.

Local teams work directly with widows to ensure the funds are used carefully for the child’s daily needs. Transparency and care are central to everything we do. You can meet your sponsored orphan through an online session and even visit them in their hometown (through prior communication). You may also stay connected by exchanging letters with the child you sponsor.
